La idea principal del proyecto es concentrar los diferentes espacios del programa en un único edificio compacto. El proyecto se organiza en torno a tres bandas, cuyas cubiertas crean un paisaje artificial en un entorno sin identidad.
La primera banda contiene las aulas. El diseño está basado en la flexibilidad: dos aulas grandes con tabiques móviles, que a su vez se pueden dividir en seis aulas más pequeñas. Un patio está contenido también en esta banda, que sirve para organizar e iluminar los espacios de circulación y dotar a los estudiantes de un patio de juegos al aire libre.
La segunda banda contiene la entrada principal y los espacios secundarios: secretaría, sala de profesores, aseos y una entrada de personal con vestuarios.
La tercera y última banda contiene la cocina y el comedor. Este espacio también tiene un tabique móvil, que permite la unión con el hall y funcionar como una gran sala polivalente.
El proyecto se resuelve en madera, tanto estructura, cerramiento y acabados. Esto garantiza una construcción rápida y la posibilidad de construir en dos fases. Cada banda funciona de manera independiente a nivel estructural, con una junta de dilatación.

The
main idea of the project is to concentrate the different spaces in a single
compact building. The project is organized in three strips. The roofs create an
artificial landscape in an environment without identity.
The
first strip contains the classrooms. The design is based on the concept of
flexibility: two single classrooms with mobile partitions, that can divide into
six smaller classrooms. A courtyard is included in this strip, which organizes
and illuminates the corridors and serves as kids´ playground.
A
second strip contains the main entrance and the secondary spaces: secretary,
teacher´s room, two bathrooms and a staff entrance with a locker-room.
Finally,
the third strip contains the kitchen and the diner. This space has also a mobile
partition, so it can join the hall and work as a multipurpose room.
The project
is built in wood. This guarantees fast construction and the possibility of
building in two phases: a first one, with one classroom, the courtyard and the
main entrance with secondary spaces; and, a second one, with the rest of the
program. Each strip woks independently, with its dilatation meeting.
